Internet keeps going down

I can't watch my sky glass as internet keeps going down. One minute it works fine then the tv says technical issues or wait for for program to load. Why is it going down all the time? The signal for upstairs is not good either and I've got a booster (which I had to pay for) but the readings say it's good but it's not especially on the Xbox. I pay a lot for my sky and shouldn't have to keep turning the internet off and on again in a hope it will stay on. It's gone off 4 times so far today yet the test my broadband says all good when it's not.
