Internet keeps dropping down since fibre install

We got our full fibre installed on the 6th of March and since then our connection has been found to drop out every couple of days. It has been particularly bad for the last 24 hours. It is a nightmare if trying to work from home and this is when I am the only one at home using internet. Also sky q box often loses connection.

@G.... first thing to check is the lights on the ONT box on the wall. If thst shows a red light then the issue is with the fibre connection to your home which will need checking by Openreach so call Sky. Ful fibre is very reliable BUT delicate and requires perfect joints which can sometimes cause issues if tgecweather was bad or tge dngineer had limited access when setting up the connection.

Assuming that is fine next check the lights on the hub see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/hub-lights-explained-start if the ONT stays connected so should the hub unless its faulty again if that applies call Sky. It is worth running the service checker in the My Sky app as thst can pick up issues in your home network. 

However it sounds like your issue is simply poor wifi coverage. If you have now got a white Sky hub and you have Q tv boxes youwill have lost the use of their wifi hotspots which can carch people out as the new hub does not support the Q wifimesh system which would also explain the Q box losing connection. Talk to Sky as they should becable to help especially if as part of the upgrade you bought their WiFi Max psckage.

When this happens we do reset our hub and this seems to temporarily allow devices to connect but we notice it does drop off again sometimes within minutes. Very frustrated with Sky and their broadband service.
