Internet is very poor and keeps cutting out

The internet is slow and keeps cutting out. I've checked it using a broadband speed checker and it's showing 10.23mbps download and 34.26mbps upload speed which is far below what I'm paying for. Very disappointed with our connection so far

Don't use a mobile phone/WiFi to carry out speed tests. Use the ethernet cable and a computer/laptop.
