We had 5G installed yesterday but it doesn't appear to be running faster as I thought it would.
can you please look into this as my son wanted 5G as he's a gamer rubs a PC Xbox and iPhone but it's the speed he needs.
thank you

'5G' is a cellular data technology and nothing to do with Sky Broadband.
You probably mean '5Ghz', as in one of the two WiFi bands broadcast from a Sky Hub (the other being 2.4Ghz)

Note that 90Mbs over WiFi is entirely plausible from a gigabit broadband connection on the other side of a few walls.

I appreciate your reply.
At risk of sounding dim! What speed should it be running at?
my son is autistic and is just telling me that it's not as fast as it should be?
thanks

WiFi cannot deliver the full speed of a gigabit broadband connection: simple physics (ie. distance and building fabric) literally gets in the way.
Ideally ethernet cable is the best solution, as that can deliver the full speed arriving at the Hub.
Powerline network adapters may be viable, although they won't deliver 1000Mbs.
