Hi,
My internet has been dropping frequently for last couple of days.
I've read numerous posts on here and tried all the quick fixes, resets etc but nothing is fixing it.
I thought there may be something in here that someone may be able to make sense of?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAny changes to your setup? E.g. Cables, sockets etc?
Your stats dont show an obvious line fault although they do show that your WAN has been dropping

Hi, thanks for replies.
There have been no changes to setup at all.
I have router then an ethernet switch attached. And an extender. I turned the extender off but the problem persists. Never had an issue before.
But now I get orange light on router. It drops. Comes back a minute or so later and is stable for a period sometimes as long as an hour and then goes again.
I haven't had time to systematically isolate the connected devices, is that worth doing? Or is it an issue with the inbound cabling/router?
Cheers!

Brilliant, thank you

I have had exactly the same issue for the last few weeks
Openreach told me to replace the DSL cable - this made no difference.
Sky sent out an engineer to replace the microfilter socker - This also made no difference.
Have now decided to move to Virgin as I work from home and cannot have wifi constantly dropping out

This is my issue. I need a stable connection for work.
I guess I'll get an engineer and give it a go, if not will look to change. Is moving to cable the best option, as opposed to say, BT?

I am not sure to be honest. I managed to get a TV and 250mpbs broadband deal with Virgin for £32 a month for 18 months, so have just gone for that
Currently paying £55 a month with Sky and the internet, sadly, cannot be relied upon at all.
