My internet box is showing amber and some of the lights aren't on, I've tried turning it off and back on still not working ran a test on the my sky app and that's come back fine saying that the connection to the router is fine

If there isn't try running the line test here:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start
You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.
After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.

We have the same in Sevenoaks- everyone I know with sky is down in this area

Same here in Kemsing/Otford
All the diagnostics say that all is GOOD when not the case, all tests have been run/checked with router restarted.
Hopefully Sky are on this now and confirm that this is the case here

We live in Ide Hill and are completely down with no internet or phone line.

Yes same here done all tests on line and all say everything is ok . Reset the router taken all cables put and put back in . No good

Read on their website that they are aware of issues due to adverse weather conditions! But it is slightly annoying that tests show everything as good. Not much of test is it then ?

Im on the phone to sky now they are saying there and no known issues . I've explained it's covering a wide area- Orpington seems ok. They have escalated it to the network team who should have it sorted in the max time drame
of 72 hours but last time this happened the advisor said it was sorted in 40 mins. Let's see
