I have the same issue. I've rang to complain many times and nothing gets done. I'm waiting for my contract to finish so I can leave

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Qaddy786 & @Bossamir Openreach and Sky have to take down networks occasionally over night for maintenance work and upgrading. While you can get a period where this happens every night it will stop once the work is complete. Also if you have a FTTC connection over a copper line the autimatic DLM system will reset the line if conditions mean the parameters have to be changed which can happen a lot in periods of bad weather. The over night period is used to minimise the number of users affected.
Unfortunately you will find every network has similar issues and there is no provider who can guarantee 24/7 connectivity so switching providers is very unlikely to make a significant difference.
