Internet connection

My internet connection keeps going. I switched to Sky in the summer. Prior to switching to sky I had ero devises. Since switching to Skye and removing the devises my internet connection is poor. 
I have put on the devises and the connection improves. 

my previous provider wants to charge me 500 psd for the devises-I moved to Skye for a better service and connection. 
In addition the help service is frustrating because I cannot speak with anyone
