Thanks for the reply. She put me on hold to ask someone else to no joy. Maybe the knowledge base needs updating?

Thank you Chrisee, all 3 of my Sky boxes are on Active. All 3 go down at the same time every night between 0230-6am. My internet is still active, my computer is active as is my iPhone.
it's just Sky.

I have the same problem. 2:30am internet drops. No sky Q box, I have glass. I also have a mesh network, no wifi issues, just no connectivity.
does the glass tv have the same eco setting as the sky q box?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Insomniac+too line drops overnight can be caused by maintainance or upgrade work on the network. Here your device will remain connected to the Sky hub but you get connection errors. Nothing you can do about that as just like over night roadworks the work is done when the fewset people are using the line.
A brief interuption around 2.30 am on Superfast services can also be caused by the cabinet resetting the connection to manage line issues.

Sorry, I think there's a misunderstanding. ONLY Sky drops off line. My internet/Broadband works, all through the night. As mentioned on previous messages, I'm using internet at 3am to post on this site out of sheer frustration. All my Sky boxes are programmed on "Active" but I'm not able to access ANY SKY programming between 0230-0530

My wired ethernet worked but none of my wifi devices between 2:30 til 6am when sky Q box was programmed on eco mode. The skyQ box is right near the router so not sure why the router wasnt connecting to the devices instead when skyQ box is off?

I know this is old, but I've been having the same issue I'm a total night owl but in early hours all my smart devices lose connection..
So found this and turned on Sky Q to have a look at this eco setting... But Sky Q was in the middle of an update! Waited for that to finish and .... You guessed it all my smart products came online again!
Seriously Sky my lighting has to go offline so can update Sky Q box?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Bchan91 yes if the devices rely on the wifi of your Q boxes as the units reboot after an update. Q is a system designed in 2015 way before smart homes were a thing. You need a more modern system like a whole home wifi if you really need 24.7 wifi or do what most people domlive with the occasional blip.

My sky Wi-Fi is going off from 1230 at night till three 4 o'clock in the morning and it's happening constantly? Does anybody know what is happening and how to fix it? Thanks (ive got sky Q)!

Have you checked the following:
Sky Q box updating (not sure why it would do it nightly)
Is your Sky Q box on eco mode (this is relevant if use sky Q box as a WiFi booster)
And last are you 10yo and on your mum's account? If so it may be parental lock?

I still have this issue now after 2 years of sky and we used to have Vodafone WiFi and now have a company called airband and it still does it 2.46am every night all of a sudden what ever I'm watching will drop out start loading /spinning and then not work if I turn it off then back on it will then do the " hello please wait for your screen to do off and then press the home button" I've had 2 different companies routers and I've set both my boxes settings from eco mode to " none" so none of my boxes will ever turn off by themself unless I turn them off so it's nothing to do with eco mode and it's nothing to do with WiFi it's so frustrating... To me it's like sky head office sends out a signal dead on 2.45am to reset everyone's sky boxes... But at my girlfriends house this never ever happens really don't get it but the fact it's 2.45am every night means it's something to do with sky doing a mass reset or something like that , like I said it's not the box settings and it's not the internet because my video call with my girlfriend never drops out when this happens and it's all on the same WiFi, I think it's about time sky actually admit it's something to do with them and make my box stop resetting every night

We had a wireless (wifi) alarm system installed at the start of June. It was working fine until a week go when it started to display a faults overnight.
It would report “Comm Fault ; internal Wi-Fi” at 02:45 and the “Comm Restored ; Internal Wi-Fi at 5:46.” This happened every night but The times were within a minute each time. A 3 hour loss of signal. I contacted the Installer who advised that it was Sky Broadband dropping the connection. We have a Sky Q box and so yesterday I changed the Power saving mode from ECO to None. Last night there was no loss of Wifi. Good news . Has that fixed the issue? Time will tell.

Nowadays I do not stay up long enough to notice. I have also changed to a wi fi alarm system, I'm not sure whether that goes offline in the night, any Idea how I would know? Thanks for replying

Hi Mr Aitch,
I have a Pyronix system and I know there has been an issue as the Alert Light is showing when I go to disarm it in the morning. I have an app which shows the times of events. You should check if whatever system you have does alert on wifi events. Check with the Installer or the user manual. Cheers Moffet

Should do as in eco mode if your alarm is connecting using thecwifi from one of the Q boxes it would lose its connection when the box went into eco mode which disappeared the wifi hot spot. The Sky hubs do not have an eco mode so their wifi stays on 24/7.
