Intermittent wifi - Line issues?

I'm new to sky broadband, and have come across from Now Broadband.

To my understanding, Now and Sky were sister companies (Now Powered by Sky or something), and in the switch, they've offered me the same product as I had before but the broadband signal we have now is awful compared to what we had with Now.

The router provided by sky is on the same line, in the same area of the house with the same number of devices as previously, but the reception/wifi signal to both mine and my boyfriends phone is intermittent and it's absolutely eating away at our data.

I spoke to Sky today and they said its been raised as an ongoing issue, due to a line with BT, and to not contact them about it again so i'm a little confused as to whether there is any solution or resolution or anything.

I've followed all the troubleshooting steps with no success, and it's costing a small fortune on data (with the wifi dropping in and out, but also just casually dropping for hours at a time).

Anyone have any solutions, or even just a little more context to the situation beyond 'an issue with BT lines not sky'?

Hiya,

and yes, we are.
Sky provided a new hub and everything, told us when and how to set it up and we did it by the book, as they instructed us too.
