Intermittent Wi-Fi Disconnection
Recently switched to Sky Broadband (930/100 package) with Sky Max Hub router. Speed tests are consistently excellent, and service checker shows no issues. However, I’m getting frequent WiFi instability:
• Devices intermittently disconnect from WiFi
• Mobile phones keep switching over to 5G even when they were previously connected to WiFi
• this is all happening in the same room the router is in, so can't be a coverage issue

Re: Intermittent Wi-Fi Disconnection
@ChrisW1867 there have been a number of similar reports recently I would report the issue to Sky as it needs checking out. One wuestion is this affecting a ll devices or is it affecting primarily ios and ring devices?

Re: Intermittent Wi-Fi Disconnection
Thanks for your reply. I'm going to give them a call today.
I believe it's an issue with devices using 5GHz and DFS channel selection as it only seems to happen with the iPhones and Amazon Fire Stick.
Last night, we tried playing a film on the Amazon Prime Video app through the Fire Stick and it failed to connect to Wi-Fi. The same film on the Sky box via the Prime Video app played fine. The Sky box I believe only uses 2.4GHz, while the devices that are struggling use 5GHz.
After some research, I've found that this seems to be a common issue. Thankfully, I'm still in my cooling off period so I'll be able to cancel if the above is confirmed as it seems to be a known hardware issue with the Sky Max Hub routers.
Not certain if I'm correct, but the above is my best guess before raising the issue with them.
