Interference issues

Hi

we have 900mbps and have hard wired to garage conversion where we are getting 780mbps. However, my son is having connection issues with his PlayStation. Will loose connection and have to remove hard wired Ethernet to reconnect. Only this one PlayStation. My other son has no issues with his. Garage to hard wired to TP-Link router.

thanks

@JaimeLamb if other devices are working properly it souunds like the feed to the PS could have a fault especially if it goes via a switch or similar. If as you imply you are using a third party router the issue cannot lie with the Sky briadband connection. Sky hubs can have issues with multiple users gaming at once as they lack QOS so cannot proritize gaming traffic but hopefully your own router can.

Re: Interference issues

Thanks for the reply.  It just seems strange that the one PlayStation is only seeing issues. Every other device works. 4 x steam punks, laptops, movies, 2 other PlayStations amongst may other devices. I have to disconnect the Ethernet to external router, connect the PlayStation with issues, then re-connect the external Ethernet, which  runs 4 devices in the garage, 2 stream pucks, heating system and gaming system. There is never an issue in garage.
