Installing a BT line for sky service

I am swapping to Sky next week from Virgin. Currently there is no phone line or broadband into the house from anyone but Virgin. This will have to be run from an Openreach pole in the access lane behind ther house. Can the install engineer do all this in the first visit ?

Are Sky aware that you currently have no Openreach master phone socket, or fibre connection?

If you have no line going into the house then I think it will be BT that will install the line and Sky may set it up after. If you currently have Virgin as your broadband provider then your Stream box will connect to that until your Sky broadband has been activated @Catflap1

@Catflap1 if they're using the Openreach network, it'll be Openreach that do the outside bit and Sky or an authorised installer will do the inside bit.  It's usually two separate appointments but they'll only book an appointment with you for the inside bit.
