I need help booking an engineer

Today someone from openreach came to check my sockets out. They seem to be fine but he couldnt connect from outside because he didnt have the right tools, so he told me to reschedule with an engineer

@Highlinder hi no this is a new sky hub that I ordered and the engineer came to connect it but unfortunately he didn't have the tools to connect it from outside

@EshaSo in essence you had no phone line before this install was happening today?

@Highlinder Yes I moved in this flat two weeks ago. And have been using my data lol. The WiFi signal is there but it won't work because of the connection from outside

@EshaWith what happened today with the global IT outage and the phone lines being down today. Might be looking at an update or trying to get an answer over the weekend. As Monday will be the most likely day that this will be actioned on by Sky to get another engineer out.

@Highlinder So on the weekend should I contact them? Or should I contact them on Monday? Also what is the best way to contact them, I want to speak to an actual person instead of a robot, is there a number I can call?

@Esha  You would have to make your way through the phone system as it sounds like you don't have a landline that is working just now. There is a number at the bottom of the link below under " Need more help ". But if you are not able to get through come back let us know and we can see if the escalation team can help you here.
