I'm trying to connect a Broadlink RM4 Pro with my with Sky SR203 router.

It connected initially and I was able to link the Broadlink app to Alexa to control some roller blinds but within 5 mins the Broadlink RM4 Pro was showing as offline and i had lost control.

Broadlink have suggested varous things to try, some of which i've tried but not sure how to with some as follows:

If your RM4 device is always offline, then we advise you to check with the router settings as the following.

  1. Keep the 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi name different.     Seperated with different names
  2. Turn off the firewall. (optional)           Is it safe to try this?
    1. Select 802.11 b/g/n for 2,4Ghz WiFi protocol          Can't find info on this, can you help?
  3. Check the port forwarding to make sure TCP 80, 8080, 16384, and 1812 are enabled (optional)     Can't find info on this as to which ports are enabled, can you help?
  4. Turn off PMF(Protected Management Frames)        Can't find info on this, can you help?
  5. Also, try to bind the IP address with the device's MAC address.          Can't find the IP address whilst its offline and then how to bind info on how to do this, can you help?
  6. Close the automatic roaming function.            Can't find info on how to do this, can you help?Has anyone else tried to do this and been successful? Any help would be much appreciated  TIA

    1. Select 802.11 b/g/n for 2,4Ghz WiFi protocol          Can't find info on this, can you help?  A current Sky Hub would be 802.11ac by default.
  3. Check the port forwarding to make sure TCP 80, 8080, 16384, and 1812 are enabled (optional)     Can't find info on this as to which ports are enabled, can you help?  80 is HTTP and 8080 is HTTPS, so those are typically always open by default on a router.  16384 and 1812 may well not be.
