I am trying to find the ideal pod placement and need to know how to test the speed of each of them.

@PACKETPASTAHAM As a general rule the pods should be placed roughly haljfway between where you need the boost and the hub, Typically a hall or landing are suitable as the stairwell helps signal to carry to different floors. Ensure the hub is out in the open on a surface to be above obstructions like radiators and if possible central in your home

To be more scientific use a wifi analyser app on a mobile device to measure the hubs signal strength of thec5GHz band signal where you plan to place the pod. To operate efficently the pod will need to have a decent signal level of the closed 5GHz signal the hub uses to communicate with the hubs. The app show signal strength in dBm but the values are negative so -40dBm is about the best you can have but values down to -70dBm should give a usable signal if the hub's signal is lower say -80dBm a pod in that location will not really work.
