How to get a sky Wi-Fi extender

I live in an old apartment with thick solid walls not sure what I need to get broadband to all rooms I have an extender in bedroom which is the only place which picks up router but my living is far from router in kitchen which apparently is the best place for it , can anyone give me advice please I've tried putting extender in living room but won't pick up router
