How to find my broadband / talk renewal date

Hi everyone,

I am trying to find my broadband renewal date either on the website or the MySky app but it is proving difficult to say the least.

I believe I have a rolling contract but would like to know when my actual renewal date is.

Can anyone help please?

Many thanks

Jamie

Re: How to find my broadband / talk renewal date

Good morning,

Thanks for the reply but that just takes me into my inbox (eventually) and there are no items in there advising me of my renewal date.

Am I correct in thinking that even with an automatic renewal I would get an email from sky telling me when it is going to happen and listing my options?

Sign into the Sky web site, click on your name then Your Products. The contract end date will be displayed on a an orange banner.

Although if your fixed term has expired & you're now on a rolling contract as you suggest, there obviously won't be an end date. I think Sky are still obilged to remind you annually that you're out of contract & offer you an alternative.

Re: How to find my broadband / talk renewal date

Many thanks for that.

I'd be really grateful if someone (from Sky perhaps) could confirm that I will get a renewal email at the relevant date?

Sky tend to not post publicly, so that's unlikely. Ofcom require ISPs to do that but it's not unheard of for them to fail to do so. Better to make a calendar entry to remind yourself to check competitor offers around a month before expiry.

Wise words FLC and that is exactly why I am trying to find out what my renewal date is so I can have a shop around just before my renewal, however without knowing when that is I am beholden to Sky to send me an email.

Re: How to find my broadband / talk renewal date

Thanks everyone for your help, and hope this explanation might help others in the same situation.

I ended up phoning Sky on 150 (from my mobile as I am also with Sky for that), and to my surprise it was answered really quickly (well, once I had endured the sales pitch while waiting!!) and to their credit they were really helpful and I managed to get a reduction on my current deal, so all good 😁

It turns out that the reason I couldn't see my renewal date is that it had already passed and I was on a month by month rolling contract!

When I asked why I hadn't received a renewal reminder I was told that Sky don't normally send one out - there you go 😕

In conclusion, phone them up and you MIGHT get a better deal than you are on.

That would be a clear breach of Ofcom rules:

Anyone from Sky care to comment?
