How to connect new home?
Hi there. I'll move to a new home (new development) in a week and trying to get broadband sorted.
Developers stated that everyone in the area use SKY, but automatic website checker keeps suggesting that there's no broadband in this area.
is there a way to speak to live operator instead of AI chat bot to discuss this?

That's just factually incorrect: Sky doesn't have a broadband monopoly anywhere and statistically it's twice as likely that BT/EE will be the ISP at any particular address.
It's possible that a new build has been cabled by See The Light, which is technically a Sky Group company but operates independently.

Re: How to connect new home?
Thanks. I already tried this number from the website
after calling, AI bot suggests that I’m not their customer customer (what a surprise!), asking for another phone number which is linked to existing contract and not offering any help or option to talk to a real person.

Re: How to connect new home?
Whether this is right or not the end result is the same: neither broadband provider sees this new address as 'connected' while there's definitely fibre routed into the house & equipment installed. So there must be some sort of 'known' and 'standard' solution for new builds. Just trying to figure out what that is...

Re: How to connect new home?
@Val85 Ask your sales agent, if the address is not showing up on the ordi or the royal mail address details then nothing will for BB Install.
Put your details into the Address checker, home number and the postcode should be enough and see what shows!

What equipment? If it's an Openreach-branded ONT then the property is on the national optical network and connectivity can be offered by any Openreach client ISP. If it's altnet infrastructure then choice is much more limited.
So there must be some sort of 'known' and 'standard' solution for new builds.
Unfortunately there can be a considerable delay before new addresses populate onto sales databases.
