My iphone settings show that my sky router is a hidden network. Apple state that this can be a problem for security and talks about changing settings on the router. I don't know how to do this nor can I find any help ideas on sky. Any advice gratefully appreciated.

Hidden networks operate only on your local network and have no impact on the wide area network (the internet)
I suspect the security warning is due to all new things apple support wpa3 which no isp hub supports

Do you have sky q tv. ? Part of the mesh formed by sky q is hidden so your sky q has exclusive use to it.
Also remote controls for firestick and roku show up as hidden
There are no security implications

Thank you so much for your reply. No, I don't have sky q. I was just concerned with the security comment on apple. @cookiemonsteruk

Hi Toyah
Yes, it looks like it's an apple thing and not a problem.
I've just checked my husbands iPhone/iPad and the router isn't hidden on those. Maybe it's newer apple products. It's all very strange.
I've decided not to worry about it. If you find out anything different please let me know.
thanks
