I have VDSL2 to my house & have been with Zen then switched to BT & have now switched to SKY. Speeds are exactly as I expected them which is great however my ping has jumped from 8ms to 22ms.
I plugged in my Vigor modem to read the line stats & im on fast path but I have an interleave delay of 16ms which is causing my higher than usual ping.
How can this be rectified?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@BradGouldy Interleaving will have been applied by the DLM (line management) and the training period for a newly switched FTTC is usually the first 10 days.
The ISP does not have any direct control over the DLM as it's carried out by the Openreach equipment in the street cabinet.
As the days go by and assuming the connection is stable it should take the interleaving off.
@mae-3 is usually the best to explain in detail 🙃

After still no improvment, i have now cancelled with sky & moved to plusnet. Possibly the worst ISP i have had to engage with. Upsetting considering the reasonable pricing.
