Have I ordered wrong Ethernet cable?

I have ordered  a Cat8 cable for my Sky Router. Wil it work?

It is an ethernet cable so will plug into your Sky hub.

Cat8 is intended as a server room interconnector to carry huge bandwidth: it will function just fine for lower speeds though.

 

For any domestic broadband speed, Cat6A is entirely adequate.
