Full fibre - RUBBISH!!
Can anyone help as I am trying to sort WiFi out on behalf of my grandad. We had fibre fitted and having nothing but problems. We can't even watch a YouTube video upstairs and we apparently have the best package sky offers... we rang and said please take this fibre out and put our old one back in and they just said they can't do that anymore as open reach has been fitted. Please can someone help? We have tried everything and I have a very autistic son who is really effected now, iv asked for boosters to be sent out 3 times and never received, iv asked for an engineer to attend to take a look and I keep getting told 'there is none in your area at the moment' I just don't get it!! I'm paying so much money for something that doesn't work and sky not taking the liability to help fix it

Re: Full fibre - RUBBISH!!
@terryretired If you're getting below your promised speed then you may be able to exit the contract without penalty. I was able to do this myself after a period where the speeds were not even half of what they should have been.
I went to Vodafone where I got double the Sky promised speed for just a couple of pound more per month.
If your speeds are as promised but it's just WiFi issues you need to badger them for a WiFi booster or buy your own. You have the option of making a complaint via the option in the forum footer.

That is correct: once optical fibre is in place at an address it cannot be reverted to a copper connection. Openreach is the national network maintainer, not a specific technology.

@terryretired When you got Full Fibre installed, did you also get the hub changed to the Sky Max version, the white coloured hub?
