Full Fibre Fail!
So I was to be upgraded to Full Fibre on Tuesday this week. Openreach were booked who promptly outsourced the job. Guy turns up, cuts my copper and feeds the new fibre line from the pole. Comes inside, screws box to wall plugs it all in and tells my wife he can't finish the job as someone else needs to fix it.
I texted the guy and he says the "sweeper" will sort it on Wednesday as he doesn't have the skills. Sweeper calls me on Wednesday and says he will work on it. I get no information and still no internet by Wednesday night. I phone Sky who say they have a note that there was a light issue. Then call on Thursday and they now say a routing issue. I say, what am I meant to do. Apparently just wait as Sky can't chase anyone they just look at notes. Openreach tell Sky they now have until Monday to fix the issue (72 working hours)!!!!
I pay Sky not Openreach. Sky should be chasing but apparently can't. So they raise a call for a Copper wire break. 14:50 today my copper connection is back and the Openreach guy can't beleive they cut the copper before making sure the fibre line was working.
Complete cowboys!! This is what happens when you go cheap and outsource all your work!! So when will I get Full Fibre, who knows. Sky better get their calculator out for my compensation or I will cancel my whole service with them. It is not worth the hastle!

Re: Full Fibre Fail!
Hi @jtaulbut
That is very poor from the Openreach subcontractors, they should never remove copper before a full fibre service is fully up and running, that is policy.
The compensation you should be entitled to from Sky is detailed here, I would note that is wont be much.
Personally I would raise a complaint on the Openreach website about your experience as its not on at all.
Myself & Others offer our time to help others, please be respectful.
