Fibre
We just had fibre installed with a wireless extension. The hub is now in a different position than before because of the socket. The problem is the WiFi upstairs is now dropping in and out. If I put the extended upstairs it doesn't connect. We never had this problem before. Any help please

Re: Fibre
@Sam743 What sky hub and which booster, the booster needs to be able to catch the wireless wifi signal off the hub to operate, so position it closer to the hub maybe not in the actual room!

Re: Fibre
@Sam743 couple of further points. You could possibly move the hub to a better position by buying a longer Ethernet cable these areceasy to find and you dont need anything more than Cat5e.
Second point if your extender pod is not giving a usable WiFi signal in every room call Sky because as part of the WiFi Max bundle they will arrange for a Broadband Engineer to come out who can agree to supply up to 2 more pods.

Re: Fibre
I was thinking about a cable and moving the hub. it's just annoying that you get faster speeds but can't use it all over the house

Re: Fibre
@Sam743 The FF Full Fibre is the one that pushes the speed and the throughput up, and the sky Broadband Hub, ie the black hub is well capable of handling that all the way up to FF900 on Ethernet but a little lacking on the wireless wifi side to about the 600Mb/s mark, also being a wifi 5 device it does push the wireless similar to the Max at lower frequency's, but unlike the Max it is restricted channel wise...
The Max and the Pod or Pods you will need to be careful that the all can connect to each other if you are Wireless Connecting the signals from each are required to crossover if not then they are useless devices, move the pod closer until you get a strong mesh and stable network covering the area that you need, if you have an Android phone then the app Netspot from Etwok, Inc. or similar is good at showing what is happening, strength and channel bands!
