Fibre

I've had a engineer out today to fit my outside part for fibre and the engineer said that he was unable to install due to it being a specialist job. What happens next? Does this happen frequently?

many thanks

Re: Fibre

@Lo19 What was done and completed if anything with the outside part?

Presumably specialist resources need to be assembled, and that almost certainly means a delay.

Does this happen frequently?

Meeting the national rollout target involves 80,000+ new FTTP installations every week, so even a small percentage of complications is a significant number of households.

Re: Fibre

Nothing was done. Just came and left the job. Said he would pass on to all the relevant people. But not heard anymore from sky

Re: Fibre

@Lo19 That's it in a nutshell then, time now takes as long as it needs to be, OR if that is who is supplying the Fibre connection have to slot alocate the required resources, teams etc with whatever requires to be done, they may or may not even inform sky but the Norm is the Engineer does a report to the reason why, it is just very hard for you to find that out and especially this time off the year and with everything else going on with the MAJOR Full Fibre installations UK wide! It's also going to be the same if CF CityFibre are supplying your connection!
