Fibre upgrade
I received emails, WhatsApp's and text messages about a new and free upgrade to full fibre
i agreed as it was at no extra cost and someone came to the house and installed a box outside the front
then an engineer came a week later to install everything and upon arrival said they can not install it because the fibre is at the front of the house and will affect the connection of my PlayStation and WiFi connection as my living room is at the back of the house.
the engineer did said they can do it for us but they need to drill holes through the kitchen to get it closer to the front room damaging my cupboards and walls!
what I don't understand is, is that, why offer to do something and waste everyone's time if you can not do a job!
secondly there was no phone call to ask these questions and what impact it will be!
we took holiday to be present for the engineer that turned out to be a complete waste of a day as we could not get the day off switched!
further more you give us 2 weeks to respond if we want to go ahead with it!
To which I don't have time to run about after sky as I'm super busy at work doing 12 hour days, awake from 4am to get to work at 7am ! And get home by 7:15pm if my trains go smooth!
and when I have a moment spare I can not find a number or email for help!
I have to sign up to a community to ask questions because your AI assistance doesn't know how to talk to humans
you don't have any numbers or emails available where you have to search for it left right and centre! Which I can't even confirm if they are legit because it's from a forfum on another website! (NOT SKY)
the options you create online is ridiculous and quite frank I'm sick of sky not being available !
your prices are ridiculous especially for the lack of support available!
I paid for the fasts broadband you have that does not cause any lag in WiFi or gaming and that was expensive and that alone caused me issues 4 years ago!
it took me 4 callers at the time to talk to someone back then who understood my frustration and sent me a cable for my PlayStation just so my game doesn't lag!
i never had any issues with virgin when I was with them!
im only with you because my wife has only ever dealt with Sky and without her I wouldn't use your service
so over priced and you continue to send me updates of increasing the price !
absalute joke!
I'm a very frustrated customer and I'm tired of running around after you!
you are not worth it and when I have more time I will be changing sky to another supplier!
anyways is there anyone here that can give me a number to call and email! To sort this rubbish out!
thank you !

Neither Sky or any other individual ISP is responsible for moving the national communications network from antique copper to optical-fibre: that's a £15 billion pound commercial investment by Openreach.
The automated system which generated an offer of migration at your particular address would have zero information about the internal layout of your property (or your gaming habits) : it's purely based on street-level deployment of optical infrastructure in that geographic area together with a single-line assessment of how the cable would arrive at an external wall (which is held on the BT Wholesale database unless provisioning is over the CityFibre network, in which case a different cable access database would be mined)
A suggestion of willingness to drill through internal walls would actually be rather unusual: typically installers are reluctant to go deeper into a premises because the timescale of the overall project doesn't allow for such work and they are poorly equipped for making good afterwards.
