Do you need a sky Dish when fibre optic is installed, as when we disconnect the dish we lost signal and had to reconnect. What are we doing wrong?

If you have Sky Q or Sky+, then ues, you still need a dish connection.

Sky Stream uses your Internet connection but is a very different product.
