@Boogie2 Varying sizes so all depends on the one you are talking about! External with all the protection is about 6mm.

@Boogie2 the pigtail cable Openreach use is quite thin around 2 -3mm in diameter st a guess. But note the.installation engineer will want to drill the access hole and fit a plastic firment that protects the cable and weather proofs the hole.
