Fibre Broadband dropped out - PON light solid red
Hi
Our Fibre broadband (installed 2022) suddenly dropped out this morning and the PON light is solid lit. Cycled the power - no change. What's the best option for fixing this, as at least one person in the family works from home every day?

Log a fault with Sky and wait for Openreach: fibreoptic communication isn't really amenable to DIY solutions.
Unfortunately working from home doesn't change the standard two working day time-to-fix target, which would start tomorrow morning.

The one additional thing you could try is very gently removing and reseating the green optical jack connector at the ONT, and then power cycling it again. Be careful of the optical cable bend radius.

Thanks everyone - have found the number to call buried in the help section - the system updated whilst on the call to show there is an issue in our area, so it should be dealt with quicker than if it was just us 🙂
