Extra long wait for connection

I registered for internet connection with sky at end of june 2024  its not yet happened ...... after several installation dates and then later dates being given I have been told ill receive an update at the end of AUGUST ?????? 
this is unnacceptable ! The open reach connection / cable to house has been in place for about 3 weeks and installation booked for 23/8 but now im awaiting yet another update - what on earth is going on  !

@Ju22 there can be several parts to a full fibre install which I presume you are getting. While the cable is now run doesn't necessarily mean it is connected to a working distribution pointvwhere the incoming fibre is split for each customer but that is a guess. Unfortunately Openreach are very bad at explaining delays to their customer who is Sky who in turn cannot explain what is going on to you.

 

You should be due compensation see Customer Auto-Compensation | Sky Help | Sky.com

once the job is finished as I have posted before the delays in my own fibre install gave compensation that nearlybcovered the first 6 months of the new service.
