Expected Connection date is 4 days after disconnection from my previous provider

I'm a bit concerned, I've recently signed up to Sky Glass, and moving my broadband from TalkTalk to Sky. My expected connection date with Sky and Broadban engineer is 14/8/23 but my disconnection date with TalkTalk is 10/8/2023.

I work from home, so according to these dates I'm going to be without a broadband service for 4 days, which is unacceptable.

Can this date be brought forward?

@Matt7575 assuming you arranged the switch through Sky rather than cancelling separately with Talk Talk the two should happen onnthe sameday as Openreach do both in one operation..

@Chrisee thank you

I did arrange it through the sky agent at the sky pod. Just hope it does get connected on 10th then.

Re: Expected Connection date is 4 days after disconnection from my previous provider

Update: was still a bit concerned about the switch over so rang sky and had a lovely agent who was more than helpful. Turns out talktalk had it down for disconnection not line transfer. So if I'd not looked into it further talktalk would have disconnected my phone line. So when the outreach engineer would have come on connection day they wouldn't have been able to do it because there wouldn't have been a number to connect to. So was advised to ring talktalk.

Rang them and they admitted it was down wrong, so they've hopefully changed it to what it should be.

Praying it all goes smoothly but I'm one of those people where it never goes right the first time.
