An engineer attended my house on the 6th August, he worked for MJ Quinn, he fitted the plug and router in the house but couldn't connect the cable to the plug due to a known blockage, when I spoke to him he said they would get in contact, but it's been over a week now and still haven't heard anything and can't find anything online, has anyone had this issue before and how to re arrange

Yes, blocked ducts to individual properties are a significant cause of delays in the national FTTP rollout. Unfortunately resolution requires availability of a dig team, and while that should happen automatically there's realistically no knowing when they might turn up.

Our FTTP installation (through BT Broadband a few years ago, and largely provisioned by Kelly Communications) took over three months because they couldn't find the duct at all...
BT were reasonably good at updates, although dig teams arrived without previous appointments at least twice.
