Engineer couldn't complete installation

Hi,

Mj Quinn contractor turned up and said he couldn't complete the installation because of trees and it needs to go overhead or something, but he installed the grey box on the house.

How do I receive an update from sky when this will be done? It's been three days, no update.

The sky contact us page doesn't help, it's an AI chat bot and so is the phone number... How hard is it to talk to someone who can look at my case? Any help please

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@Crys99 MJQuinn work for Openreach and will have reported back to them the fact the job could not be completed. Openreach will arrange a solution but that can take time. Sky will only know what Openreach have reported tomthem so dont expect a firm date. However I am escalating your post to the Sky team who support the forum who should be in touch soon to offer you a private online chat session to get this sorted. Keep an eye on the forum as if you miss the message just click the brightly coloured chat icon which will be added to the forum pages for you to use.saving a long phone call.

Re: Engineer couldn't complete installation

I have 100% exactly the same issue. My engineer came and could not complete the job. He was a subcontractor for Openreach.

He said it was a 2 part job and he was there to complete the 2nd part only. I have a box fitted to the side of my wall but no fibre connection to the house! How do i find out when this will be completed? It seems impossible  to talk to a human via the website. I am stuck in an endless chat bot loop.

I am in desperate need of the wifi connection and have had to buy a temporary wifi box costing me £50 for 1 week.

I have no idea when the 1st part of the install is booked to take place. Help!
