Engineer cancelled Broadband setup

I was due to have Broadband Fibre installed on 26th August, Hub was delivered on Friday 21st. At 1.19pm I received text saying "Hi, Openreach will complete the setup in your home so it will be their engineer who arrives on the day. Any problems, give us a call", and then at 1.20pm I recieved by text "Hi, Unfortuntately, we were unable to start your Sky Broadband & Talk Installation on 26 August. To reschedule, please call  (won't publish number on text)". Is there a usual reason this visit was cancelled, a minute after confirming that Openreach will be the ones who visit? (I have scheduled a new date of 14th September, but unsure if it will happen again)

@DD87 apointments can get cancelled for various reasons including a previous job over running ot the enginerr  being moved to an urgent task etc. You should be compensated for the missed appointment and the delay as explained here Customer Auto-Compensation | Sky Help | Sky.com

Re: Engineer cancelled Broadband setup

Thanks, the visit was cancelled 4 days in advance, but no reason was given. Hopefully next one will be fine
