Dreadful WiFi Connectivity
We've recently switched to Sky FF (about 4 weeks ago). Since then, we've had nothing but issues on certain devices. Apps and websites sometimes load, other times not. Our WiFi extender (Netgear EAX20-100EUS) struggles to maintain a connection to the router. Connection drops out intermittently.
Health check says all is fine. I've adjusted the Sky Shield settings as per some troubleshooting advice, which hasn't made a difference (and now our security is compromised) and changed to WPA2 (which made everything worse and disconnected our phones completely from the internet - connected to the router but without internet).
It's honestly the worst decision we've made making the switch - we run a business from home which requires solid and consistent internet connection and it's having an impact on our business.
For a complete idiot - in layman's terms - can anyone give me some suggestions of things to try to stabilise and improve our connection? I've tried Sky troubleshooting and followed that with absolutely no success at all, and beyond that there doesn't seem to be anyone to actually speak to.

Re: Dreadful WiFi Connectivity
@LalWig89 What sky hub do you have and the service from sky! FF upgrade on a sky system precious to new should have zero impact apart from the hub move if that happened!

Re: Dreadful WiFi Connectivity
@LalWig89 Are you using the Netgear for all the wi-fi in mesh and does it cover you whole home area.

Re: Dreadful WiFi Connectivity
No idea. Its to boost the signal to the home office in the garden. Its been set up for us rather than by us, and has only become an issue since changing providers (and it has been re-configured to the new router)

Re: Dreadful WiFi Connectivity
@LalWig89 So have the general feeling for what you have now, first get the Sky Max hub back onto WPA3 mode, your netgear is compatable with the mode, whether it works or not with the sky Max is something else. Not sure what you had before so if you do not say there is no way for me to know.
The Netgear and because you are using the Sky Max hub, first off and not sure how far apart you have both, move it closer in distance towards the sky hub!

Re: Dreadful WiFi Connectivity
Before we just had a standard Plusnet router, don't know which one.
The Hub is in the living room, and the extender is in the next room (the kitchen windowsill) so the signal reaches the garden room beyond.
That's one problem, but the more irritating problem is that of our phones not being able to connect to various things- apps will open and work, then next time not, We've both switched WiFi off on our phones because it's so unpredictable.

Re: Dreadful WiFi Connectivity
@LalWig89 It's very unfortunate, but it may just be that the sky Max hub was NOT the way to go and the older SR203 would have been way better and may also have worked equally well with that Netgear AP/Extender that you have!
I cannot say for sure until you are prepaired to have a go and changing the sky max or trying to adjust that netgear, one may just not like the other!
Your plusnet was more than likely the Smarthub2 model, equal and same period as the SR203!
Also PM'd you while ago so you know!
