Download speed is not truly reflected

Having performed a speed check online with sky it states 49mbps, but I am still here watching a download of between 1-20 Mbps.

My console and hub are in apart. How is this **bleep** service justified.

Reduced and fluctuating speed over WiFi is entirely plausible: wherever possible it's always preferable to use ethernet cable.

Re: Download speed is not truly reflected

Remember downloading files is only as fast as the slowest connection.....just because you have 49MBps speed, if the site you are downloading from is only 20MBps, then you will only be able to download at 20MBps.  Many sites will actually throttle each connection.

Re: Download speed is not truly reflected

Ethernet cable oddly had not impact.

Possibly made it worse.
