Disney Plus doesn't recognize IPv6 and have asked for my network to be put back to IPv4 in order for me to have access toy Disney Plus channel. It has stopped working since Sky changed to fibre.

@Lo71 by default Sky use a dual stack supporting both IP4 and IP6 addressing on all of their broadband services full fibre is not significantly different. You can check the public IP addresses Sky have curently assigned to your connection by typing "what is my IP address" into a browser. Apps like Disney+ check your location by using the public IP4 address and I can assure you having IP6 on or off does not affect that process. IP adressing a low level activity which apps doesn't directly interact with as that is handled between the device and the hub.
Occasionally we hear of issues where the public IP4 address Sky has assigned is mapping to another country causing issues with some apps which require you to be within a certain country. IP4 addresses have run out so blocks are traded to allow isps to take on more customers Sky buy blocks from where ever they can find them. The issue is caused by lag between Sky reporting the change of country and when the various databases the apps use to check location update. Simply restarting your hub can cause the public IP address to change.
Turning off IP6 is unecessary and as it is the future of the internet protocols is generally a bad idea. Morecand more services will rely on it in the future.

Re: Disney channel
Hi
Thank you for replying however it doesn't sort the issue. Disney Plus cannot run on IP6, so how can I resolve this if I can't change to IP4, does this mean I can no longer enjoy watching Disney? Or am I misunderstanding your response - I am not good with IT at all!

Re: Disney channel
@Lo71 sorry you are wrong Disney+ runs perfectly on my own set up on multiple devices as it does on literally millions of other Sky customers systems with the standard dual stack.
Have you read this page https://help.disneyplus.com/en-GB/article/disneyplus-streaming-issues by any chance? If that is your source it does not apply to Sky's systems or my and other Sky customers systems wouldn't work.

Re: Disney channel
Thank you for replying. This is what Disney UK had advised claiming lots of customers have raised issue and when they checked what my IP address is, they said Disney doesn't work on IPv6 and to contact my Internet provider. I thought I would give the Sky Community a go as I've not used it before and may get the answers needed but I feel just as confused.
I'll give Sky a call as I'm going back and forth with Disney.
Thank you for your advice and support. Hope you all enjoy the holidays 😊
