Disconnecting devices

Recently switched from talk talk to sky have the white router and fastest broadband possible. All the devices upstairs keep disconnecting. Try changing channels and security levels etc. Is the router not good enough to reach the upstairs? In a small 3 bed semi. Never had this problem with the last router and talk talk.
