Devices connecting through the hub

I have the sky hub and 2 WiFi extenders in my house. With the hub I can get max 900mb and through the extenders max 450mb download. 

The issues that I face is that the hub is in my living room and seldomly does my devices reconnect with the hub when I am near the hub and is only connected to the hub if I switch off WiFi and then switch it on again. 

Does anyone have a solution to this issue or anyone else face this?

@Andy8888 this does get reported quite frequently you cannot directly control which device connects to which WiFi source while some roam some dont. However given 450Mb/s is far higher than the maximum almost all apps can use this should not be an issue in practical use beyond speed testing.

If you are requiring speeds over 450Mb/s to manage very large files you are losing some time but these activities are rarely required on mobile devices.

Thanks for the reply Crissie. I guess the issue is I have devices wishing to use the higher bandwidth (that I pay for) but not able to utilise it because of the lack of features from the sky router / device not switching to a faster connection. Makes my decision to have full giga connection look a bit foolish.

Not foolish but your expectations were perhaps too high. The link below from ISP Review has an excellent 2 page article on just this scenario.
