Delayed activation

Hi, Last Friday I was supposed to have my broadband up and running but there was an issue with the outer box that needed power run through it so the engineer said that someone would be around from Monday - Tuesday to finish it off but it's been 5 working days since then and the only correspondence I've recieved from sky is that it will take up to 18 days to get it all up and running, I'm happy waiting but my old broadband runs out next Tuesday and then I may not be able to delay that again (delayed this week), what can I do? When you say your old broadband do you mean you are currently with another supplier because if you are and instead of cancelling either then you used the switching service it will continue to work until your broadband via Sky has been activated.
