DNS server Not Responding

I have been having this issue for about a week now on my work laptop. My company IT have been involved and confirmed this is a broadband/router issue. Everytime I run the networ adapter troubleshooter on my machine I get the following issue message:

"Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding
Detected"

"Contact your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)"

"Windows can't communicate with the device or resource (DNS server). The computer or service you are trying to reach might be temporarily unavailable. If the device or resource is nearby and you have access to it, make sure it is turned on and connected to the network."

I can be connected to software and then it suddenly stops working and tells me I am not connected to the Internet. So it seems the internet keeps dropping out on me.

I know for sure it is the Sky broadband/wifi as I have tethered my machine to my mobile broadband and it works absolutely fine.

I cannot find anywhere on how or who I need to contect about this and the Sky website just sends you in a loop for common problems found.

Is anyone able to help/advise. I would much appreciate it.

Thank you.

@Cydonia

First thing I would try is disabling Sky Shield on your account
