Re: Coventry CV1 broadband down

BTopenreach attended site and discovered a break in the buildings internal fibre cable. I was told it could be weeks before MDU get round to repairing the fibre, but it may need the whole building to be recabled.

When I called Sky to get an update, I was horrified to told that (unlike other ISP's) Sky does not provide data dongles/SIM's for customers with long-term outages. So much for being a VIP Diamond customer!

Re: Coventry CV1 broadband down

Overnight, the BTopenreach investigation was marked as 'complete' (even though the fault wasn't fixed) which triggered Sky to close the original fault report.

Today when I called Sky for an update, I had to open a new fault report, get it back-dated to the actual start date and then requested an escalation. Utter incompetence on Sky's part. I can't wait for the feedback survey!
