also waiting gor sky fiber to be fitted is there anything that can be done in the meantime

@Lo13 If the Fibre is the defined method as suggested by either CS or a remote test then doubt it very much, if you have a bad line, fibre is available, then fibre it will be and no repairs, why waste time/effort and money!
