Change Broadband Provider

Hi All, my SKY BB contract comes to an end in July and i am wondering if it is possible to change provider to a cheaper one and still get all the SKY Q content in my SKY TV package.

Are there any implications for me if i do this.

Would there be any costs involved from SKY.

Any reccomendations

Hoping you can help

@milliedaucusYour Sky Q is a separate thing from the broadband. You can be on a different provider and use it if you like. But there is other providers of TV like Virgin if you have that in your area.

If someone has helped give them Like.

Q television works with broadband from any fixed-line ISP.  Sky will want their Hub back, and so the Q network setup would need to be carried out again to get it to talk to new hardware.

@milliedaucusThe Sky Q content is not limited to just Sky, any broadband provider will enable you to get the on demand conetent if your TV subscription is at the right level. You can change providers if you like, but better waiting till your contract is up with Sky so that you do not have any charges at the end of it on leaving.

If you decide to leave Sky BB and move to Virgin you'll have to contact Sky and give the required notice of 14 days. This link should help https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-broadband
If you change to another ISP who also uses the Openreach infrastructure then join up with them and they should contact Sky on your behalf.

Also worth noting that a Sky contract does not 'come to an end': it's the minimum contract period (typically at a discounted rate) which expires.  The contract with its associated T&Cs continues.
