Hi. I need some help. I'm currently visiting my father in law. He has the superfast broadband and has had it for about 2 years . He lives all alone and he's been telling me for months that certain pages/ websites sometimes won't load . I wasn't sure what he meant but now that I'm here the same things is happening on my phone and my husbands tablet. Whilst the internet is working absolutely fine most of the time , suddenly a certain page will not load. There is nothing you can do , refresh, reload , nothing! But the weirdest thing is it's only happening with certain pages and not all the time . For example today he suddenly couldn't load anything or the racing post for well over an hour , at the same he could open another tab in the browser and load other pages without any issue though.
I had the same happening with a gaming forum not loading yesterday and my husband had it happen with skysport.com After a while they'll work again but it's really horrible and I hate the idea that his internet has been doing this for over a year on a daily basis . We live far away so I want to get this sorted for him whilst we're here because he is not able to move / do much himself .
What is this issue ?! What could it be ? The router never shows any flashing lights or problems and like I said other pages and apps will work just fine whilst others don't. He is a Platinum VIP member so he should have the right for someone from Sky Tech or Openreach come and check right ?! Any suggestions are really appreciated! Thanks !

VIP status has no bearing on fault response. You'll need to try to log the issue with Sky using his telephone credentials tomorrow morning, but things like that are typically difficult to pin down.

So I should call sky tomorrow ? I've never had to deal with things like that so really not sure what I'll have to do . Thanks

Does someone at least have an idea what it can be so I can research in the right direction? Thanks

The call centre will have a telephone script to follow. Outcome depends on the script: replacing the Hub (router) is typically one option.
