Cannot connect to online game servers unless using VPN

I am having an issue where if I am on a direct connection through my sky router games like Dayz or PUBG won't connect to a game server. If I run nordvpn I can connect before gettig kicked for using a VPN. So there is something odd about the direct SKY connection. I turned of Sky Shield completely but that doesn't seem to make a difference.

Just for general update: Got a newer version of the sky hub (the one that stands upright) and this helped for most games except DAYZ which never was able to connect. I think Sky's DNS service is frankly **bleep** as I have reoccuring issues where the router simply won't allow any traffic through it despite being connected to broadband, however if I run NordVPN from my laptop the internet works just fine so the issue is clearly the default Sky routing through their DNS. 

Sky Shield is disabled as well so it's not a "blocking" issue.
