For FTTP it's the 'box on the wall' (ONT) which is the 'modem' because that's handling the signal change.

You do, however, need a router which can successfully associate with a Sky Broadband FTTP service, and note that the voice call component of the subscription no longer functions.

Thanks for your reply.

Is thier anyway if knowing if my routers would work with the FTTP service before actually trying?

I have 2 Asus RT-AX82U routers.

We're not bothered about voice calls we don't actually own a home phone.

@MarleyTheDog either of your Asus routers should support a direct connection as they support the required DHCP v4 Option 61 Sky use. Of course you can only connect one to the line at once. You may need to update their firmware.

Keep the Sky hub safe as you would need to connect it before Sky will accept a fault report.

@MarleyTheDog

Connect one of the Asus routers to your ONT, set the WAN to automatic IP, then in the 'Option 61' field on the WAN configuration type abc123@skydsl|abc123

Then in IPv6 enable it, set it to native.

You can then use the second Asus unit as a booster if you wish using Asus Aimesh
