Re: Can't disable WiFi

All the Sky boxes are powered off / power cable removed, so don't know what that is on ch36...  adding screenshot again with SSID removed...

@TF12 what other devices are powered for example do you have a HP printer? Some of these will radiate a wifi signal for some proprietry printing tasks - my own HP Laser does this unless I disable various services. Some AV kit can do the same for various wireless tasks. I would power down kit to find the source.

Re: Can't disable WiFi

Yeah my HP printer used to broadcast WiFi-Direct but turned that off a while ago, and the MAC address doesn't match up either. Have turned off smart home stuff too. Whatever it is it hasn't connected to the Deco network, and doesn't show up in the device list on the Plusnet router either

In the screenshot above, the 'mystery' device is at the top, alias 6a:99:b2, and I've got the 'Group mode for list' option selected ("Display AP's with the same SSID and security as groups in the AP list view"). The other devices in this group are on the same 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels as the broadcast Deco networks, and the device at the top of the group switches between the other devices in the group (the same as the broadcast Deco entries) - so are these entries the 'internal' mesh used by the Decos to communicate with each other? None of those other MAC address prefixes return a manufacturer either.

And - if that is the Deco mesh network, why does the Deco app WiFi checker complain about the congestion it's own devices are creating?  Or am I being daft?

Re: Can't disable WiFi

So... all boxes now have wifi disabled and are cabled to their nearest Deco node, Sky WiFi disabled everywhere, confirmed with WiFi Analyzer app - and still the mini boxes lose their connection to the main box frequently. The main box seems OK, apps running on the minis seem OK, just not mini to main comms. At a bit of a loss now, any more ideas before I send the minis back to Sky?
