Can't change my sky broadband dns

I am trying to change my dns to Google since I can't change it from the router I downloaded the config and changed it on my pc but it reverts to sky's everytime.

@Coolguy1  Are you changing these settings in the adapter settings on your PC and not leaving it on automatic?

On Windows, network settings have to be all manual (including IP, subnet mask and gateway as well as DNS)  or all automatic (DHCP)

 

Choosing DHCP will over-ride any manual configuration.
